DSS-Approved Sober Living on Long Island
Integrity Sober Homes accepts Department of Social Services housing vouchers from Nassau County and Suffolk County. Structured men's sober living with meals, transportation, and staff who help with the voucher process.
How DSS vouchers work for sober living
Standard medical insurance is not accepted for housing costs. Instead, Nassau and Suffolk DSS can provide housing vouchers that help cover sober living. Vouchers typically kick in after 90 days of residency and need to be applied for by the member — not automatically by the house.
Our house managers and team of case managers help you get set up and guide you through the DSS application process so paperwork and timelines stay on track. Call 516-210-5049 early so intake can explain what to expect for your county.
Nassau vs Suffolk DSS notes
Our houses are located in Freeport and Uniondale in Nassau County, and we welcome residents from Suffolk County as well. Both counties' DSS programs can provide housing vouchers for sober living; processes and timelines can differ by caseworker and office.
Bring questions about your current DSS status to the phone screening. We will not invent eligibility guarantees — we will tell you what we know from helping residents apply and what you should confirm with your county DSS.
Self-pay pricing
Until a voucher is active, self-pay is typically $800–$850 per month ($800/mo for most houses). That rate includes nutritious meals, transportation to treatment programs and 12-step meetings, rides to doctor and therapy appointments, on-site house managers, central air, and high-speed internet.
